A detailed weekly schedule and descriptions will be provided to all particpants, for more information:
Participants will come on time every day, from 8AM to 3PM. Participants are expected to engage in learning the process and techniques and to ask questions needed for them to build confidence in what they are learning. These skills will make them successful on any job site.
On the Friday prior to the program's start, participants must attend a 2-hour orientation. This orientation will explain what the program will require of them as well as what they should expect. They will participate in their first Women's Circle, starting their sisterhood relationship.
Women will be assessed through attendance and quizzes as well as participation. They can expect to have a hands-on introduction to a few different trades and to be engaged in very physical activity including daily exercise and a heavy lifting boot camp. Women will not necessarily be graded, as this program is not to pass or fail but they will receive an honest assessment if they seem not to be able to handle the physical demand through all elements of the work they would be getting into. Our goal is for them to succeed in the industry they choose.
All supplies needed to succeed will be provided by the program.
