"RI Women in the Trades has helped me see what the construction industry has to offer to women within the profession. By going through the program, I was able to learn basic construction skills/knowledge within the industry and the different roles that I'm able to explore within my construction career. After completing the program, I gained a better understanding of the business and was able to make a decision on the career I wanted to pursue." Winell Monique Goodridge Project Manager
"I enrolled into the preapprenticeship program offered by RI Women in the trades to gain construction industry knowledge paired with practical hands-on experience. The course provides a comprehensive overview of multiple trades, along with making it possible to obtain valuable industry certifications. Being taught and given the opportunity to work on class projects involving carpentry, electrical, installation, painting and more. Showed us that women can not only excel in this industry, but that we are being encouraged to do so. enjoyed it tremendously, made new friends, and hope to continue developing my skills." Allyso Cote , Ocean State Shields, RI WITT 2023
